ABOUT MOON WATER
EXPLORE THERAPY SERVICES

Rooted in mindfulness and guided by evidence-based approaches, we’ll move at your pace. Together, we’ll explore what’s beneath the surface — the patterns, the pain, and the possibilities — so you can begin to feel lighter, calmer, and more at home within yourself.

You don’t have to do it alone. Healing flows here.

HEALING, LIKE WATER, IS EVER-CHANGING.

Therapy & Counseling Services ───────

  • Couples Therapy

Using the Gottman Method, we’ll work to rebuild trust, deepen communication, and rediscover the friendship that keeps your connection strong.

Whether you’re healing from conflict, growing apart, or simply wanting to reconnect, couples therapy provides tools to help your relationship thrive — not just survive.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing)

EMDR helps the brain process painful memories in a new way — reducing emotional distress and restoring balance. This evidence-based approach is particularly effective for PTSD, depression, anxiety, and traumatic events.

  • AFTT-A (Attachment Focused Trauma Therapy For Adults)

This approach gently explores how early experiences influence current patterns in relationships and emotional regulation. Through insight and mindfulness, we’ll help you develop a stronger sense of safety, self-compassion, and trust…both within and beyond the therapy room.

  • Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)

Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) is a gentle, trauma-focused approach that helps the nervous system heal from the inside out. By working with the body’s earliest, automatic responses to attachment wounds and trauma, DBR supports deep emotional release and integration without overwhelm. This modality is especially helpful for those who feel “stuck” or dysregulated in traditional talk therapy.

The name Moon Water reflects Mahnaz’s own name (which means beauty of the moon) and her belief that nature — like therapy — has the power to restore and transform.
